Looking for a store to purchase Italian beef for the Super Bowl on Sunday.
A bulk purchase of beef & gravy from a store like Bari on Grand Ave. in Chicago. A quality store ONLY.
The city & north, up to the Wisc. border.

    Thanks,

    Wally Wade

Tony's subs in Deerfield. i've used them for catering everything from a birthday party to a wake...
I'd get an order in quick though--they'll likely be slammed for Super Bowl...

I've had good luck with Jay's Beef (Narragansett location only; I can't vouch for any other location).

I agree with this. Although as far as the best beef, bread, gravy, peppers package goes for your own party...period-Pop's is best. The beefs from Pop's catered tray made by you are still better than 9 out of 10 spots beef sandwiches. But if you need a place located north for a tray of beef, bread, gravy and peppers, Jay's is the way. Although Johnnies also does catered trays that are as good as any, but they're closed thru next week.
