Anyone know a reliable source for caper berries? I'd like to send them as a thank-you gift.

I'm assuming you mean pickled caperberries in a jar?

They're widely available (Amazon sells them). La Tienda, home of the $75 can of goose barnacles, is cooler:

Whole Foods almost always has them. Check the olive bar.

I'm sure the recipient would love to try the goose barnacles, but for now I went with the caperberries instead! Thanks for the tip! He will be very surprised and pleased.

The "Cost Plus World Market" - at least in Oakbrook, always has caper berries in stock, in jars.

At probably 1/4 the cost at Whole Foods.

Great in Martinis... Trust me.

My daughter got pickled caper berries at LTH Holiday Party 2008 -- she gave them to me to prepare in a recipe (for her), which I haven't done yet. Using in martinis sounds like an excellent way to deploy these big boys.

Funny, the recipient (Mr. Pie's dad) said the same thing. But I wasn't sure which booze to buy for martinis, so I just sent the berries for now.
