A friend of mine thought she had a copy of Mike Royko's barbecue sauce recipe, and wanted me to send it to Cathy2 to ask if it could be canned rather than frozen.

But now she can't find the recipe, and neither can I, despite persistent googling, much of which leads fairly logically from Royko to Rib-fest or rib-off to Robinson and/or Baby Ray. For my friend's sake, I am wondering if anyone in the LTH crowd has the actual Royko recipe?

    HI,

My local library has free access to Chicago Tribune archives. You may want to look for an old column with this recipe.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

Royko has living family -- why not contact them? David Royko edited a book of his dad's love letters just last year...
