The H.P. Schmaltz thread got me wondering if anyone else on this board has been to the big Asia Supermarket practically right next door in the Tower Crossing in Naperville. The fact that they have freshly made-to-order sushi was a big find for me and seems to be pretty well-hidden. They also have a Korean counter next to the sushi, which has been kind of hit-or-miss with me due to the language barrier. But I really like the sushi and it's a frequent take-home dining option (though they do have a few wooden tables as well).

    ube,

I've been meaning to wander into this place for a long time. Having made to order sushi might press the issue. How was the quality of the fish, was it of any value?

btw: Welcome to LTH, are you a fellow Naper-villian?

Carol, I don't believe that I've seen any Filipino items there.

Flip, in my opionion the sushi is average to above-average from what I would expect from a restaurant. I especially like their spicy tuna rolls because the spicy component isn't mayonaisse-based like in most places. I pick up sushi there frequently.

Thanks for the welcome, I am a Napervillian of about six years. These forums are a great source of information.

    Ube,

I haven't been, but next time I'm in the area Asia Supermarket sounds like a good place to check out.

Just to double check, is This the place to which you are refereeing?

    Enjoy,

    Gary,

From the address provided I would say that is the place.

My 13- and 15-year-olds love this store. I will have to try the sushi. To date, I use the store as more of a field trip/reward. My kids love having $5 to spend here. They wander the aisles finding new items to try. It's fun to see what they select, look at the packaging etc. If anyone comes across any "must try" foods, let us know.
