Back in the day I used to get frozen cleaned squid from Burhops, but I haven't been able to find any lately. Anyone know where I can find some? Cleaning squid is not my idea of a good time.

I saw some yesterday at the Sauganash Whole Foods.

I don't mind cleaning them, but if I'm feeling lazy, I get them from The Fresh Market in Wilmette.

Big blocks of cleaned frozen squid, with the tentacles removed and placed in the bodies (mind boggling manual labor), are always on sale at Broadway Supermarket, the SE Asian store south of Argyle. I'm sure you'll find the same at any number of Korean, Chinese, Viet markets around town.

Garden Fresh has a couple of different brands of blocks of frozen cleaned squid.
