Does anyone know of stores that carry 5 or 10 pound blocks of chocolate?

Before you say Blommers, I don't get many chances to get downtown during their business hours, but I'd love to find a retailer.

Most Wole Foods carry block chocolate, generally Callebaut or Valrona. You can also sometimes buy it at Long Grove Confectionary, too.

Treasure Island generally carries all sizes of big chunks of Callebaut - white, semi, bittersweet, and milk.

While not in a 5 or 10 lb chunk, Trader Joe's Pound Plus bars are my choice for bulk chocolate for melting/baking. Very good quality chocolate at prices well below the high-end brands.

I was buying large chunks of Callebaut (white, dark and milk) from Cost Plus World Market stores....prices reasonable, often on sale or with coupon, but my local store no longer carries it.

I'm disappointed and looking for an alternative. Suggstions? Whole Foods costs significantly more.

I also recommend the Pound Plus bars. They are a great value. I chop it up into squares with my Chinese meat cleaver and then either eat the squares or melt them. The 72% dark chocolate bar is really good.

I'm out of my hunk of Callebaut. I usually buy it at Treasure Island. I think I will try the Trader Joe's this go round.

I don't think I ever bought that block from TJs.

I have blocks of callebaut again.
