    Hello,

As part of our class project at Kellogg School Of Management, we are undertaking a survey to understand consumer’s cooking, grocery shopping and eating out preferences.

Please help us out by completing the survey and pass on to family, friends and colleagues. It is a 5-minute survey.

Enter your Email in the survey to win a $100 Visa Gift Card.

    Thank you.

I just started your survey and was kind of surprised that the choices jump from cooking "2-3 times a week" to "daily". Do you mean dinner only? Because I'm reasonably sure that many of us cook significantly more than 2-3 times a week but not necessarily daily. You might want to clarify this if you want to get meaningful information...

I'm editing this to say that, unfortunately, I couldn't complete this. There are so many categories for which there was no appropriate answer (no "I don't want that" option for the pre-packaged options for groceries, the carryout/dine out choices, etc.). I'm just guessing but I think you'll find that this may not be the right target group for this type of survey...

Good point. We were assuming dinner. I can see how it can get confusing.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Good survey but I suggest adding a category for warehouse store as a place one could shop for groceries.

There are a number of other shopping options--butchers, ethnic markets, farmers markets. May not be options this survey is concerned with but for many of us here, those are the places we shop. Same for the choices on ordering in/dining out--fast food chains, mid-priced chains, fine dining or nowhere doesn't cover probably 90% of where people on this board eat...again, we just may not be the right group for what you're trying to gauge. Or maybe others will disagree :D

I also tried to complete the survey but there are multiple questions like "How often would you buy these meals?" (referring to prepackaged meals) where the honest answer is NEVER but the survey only offers "Occasionally".

Sorry but the survey is impossible for me to complete honestly.

    Thanks you for trying.

We are a bit novice (students :)) at surveys hence the mistakes. But the feedback is good. We should have split the survey where someone says they would not be interested in a recipe kit.

What is a recipe kit, anyway?

Not to pile on with criticism, but to reiterate some of the points here:
I think you needed to do some pre-survey research to better understand how your audience thinks about these categories to begin with. I often see surveys which clearly reflect a host of unconscious assumptions by the researchers and make answering truthfully impossible for the people they're trying to understand.
I often wonder, as I gamely check boxes that don't represent my feelings at all, what poor client is going to pay good money for a nifty report with colorful pie charts that has no good data in it whatsoever. (I don't mean that this survey is that far off, but it's a slippery slope.)
