A friend of mine turned me onto the pizza sauce which she uses for quick recipes for more than pizza. And they have a bunch of crusts that you can use to make your own pizza if you don't have time to make your own crust. They were recently touted at weight watchers for having a whole wheat crust that is low in points. After some research I find this is a Chicago based company and it has a kind of cult like following especially for the sauce. Does anyone know of any place that sells Pastorelli products? I see they have some of them at World Market and Walmart and I think I have seen the sauce at Ultra. For anyone who has tried these products what do you think of them?

    Here is the website.

My family has been using Pastorelli pizza sauce for probably 4 decades. I'm not really familiar with their other products but the pizza sauce is great. You can get it just about anywhere in Chicagoland.

Thanks. I will look for it in the stores. I have found the crusts and sauce but not other products they have on the site. I like to support Chicago based companies.

The pizza I made with the crusts was okay. It was at least healthier than a take out pizza and did not have as much dough as a homemade one would. I put cheese, pepperoni, peppers, onions and mushrooms on it. If you are looking for taste, don't bother, if you are looking for health and ease, it might be an option.

These guys are very basic in tomato. Those are the products my instincts tell me are the best ones to stick with.
