I'm going to a wake tomorrow and I have very little time to cook a decent meal. I have very little in the house besides staples, but I'd like to give more than biscuits. What do you make when you're low on supplies?

I thought of roasting the Easter ham early and giving some of that with the biscuits. Would that be thoughtless though? "Hey, here's a reminder of how sad your holiday's going to be!" Please advise.

Ham and biscuits sounds like a nice idea to me.

Give the whole ham or just make a pound cake, bundt cake, pie, cookies, muffins, scones, quick bread, or a loaf of bread, etc.

If this is for the family to eat, not serve to others who drop by, I have some other thoughts so message me.

I did prepare the ham and wrapped about a quarter for them and made cheddar/garlic/herb biscuits that are something akin to Red Lobster's.

It is indeed just for the family. But please feel free to add more for future reference! It's always good to have around.

Chocolate Cake - make it as a 1-pan sheet cake.

I actually really liked pie lady's original idea--you tend to get a lot of sheets of stuff--eventually, there isn't room in the freezer for all of it and unless you're serving hordes of people for weeks on end, you end up feeling like you're force feeding yourself casseroles and lasagna, etc. for days. Bringing something that can be assembled and doesn't take up tons of fridge room and is different sounds perfect!
