I have a bunch leftover from a party and no freezer space.

    Any good ideas?

I have done strata before, but DH won't eat that so I would like to find something else. Bread pudding, maybe? Any dinner recipes?

    Thanks!

    Make fresh bread crumbs
Dry out in the oven and then zap for dry bread crumbs
    Make croutons
Bread pudding is always a fine idea
    Schnitzel or Millanesa
Use the buns for crabcake sandwiches
Make an English summer pudding with butter, sugar, and raspberries

While taking a back road shortcut to my house last night, I saw no fewer than 6 deer grazing on white bread that was left out for them by my neighbors in bucholic Forest Glen. I'll bet the deer would love some burger buns.

    Please don't feed the deer...

I'm assuming a light tone in the previous post, but:

    http://dnr.state.il.us/pubaffairs/2002/ ... ov2002.htm

"The Department has banned the feeding of wild deer and other wildlife in areas where wild deer are present. The ban includes food, salt, mineral blocks and other food products, with some exceptions. For example, bird and squirrel feeders close to homes and incidental feeding of wildlife within active livestock operations, are exempt from the ban. For a complete list of the exemptions see the rule on the Department's web site."
Reading is a right. Censorship is not.

Oh, to think I could be Princess Leia! But what would my hsuband go as...? :)

I gave a good portion away to a neighbor who was bringing her kids to the park to feed the ducks.

Still some to go....doesn't Sara Moulton have some french toast casserole or overnight french toast recipe? Perhaps I will go search foodtv.com!

I am going the breadcrumb route this tme...

There is a favorite recipe for Ham Balls in my husband's family. It calls for some quantity of breadcrumbs. And ham, and pork...rolled in corn flakes...and a brown sugar vinegar sauce. I happened to have some ham and pork in the freezer. So we will be eating lots of ham balls this week. My Tuesday project!
