Lady M is a bakery that began in New York City. There, their mille crepes cake has become famous. They have opened additional boutique locations in Los Angeles, Boston, and Asia. Four months ago they opened their first store in the Chicago area, in Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights. You can order cakes via website or phone, or you can walk in and buy cakes or slices. They have full cakes in their display case (along with a slice of their Checkers cake to show the inside), and they can sell you individual slices which they have in the rear. I stopped by there a couple of days ago, and bought several slices. Without further ado, here are the photos.
The shop:

The display case:

Signature Mille Crepes cake, twenty layers of crepes alternating with light pastry cream:

Green Tea (Matcha) Crepes cake:

Strawberry Shortcake (this is the kind with light genoise sponge layers, not the kind with biscuit-like layers):

Everything was amazingly delicious, just like at their shops in New York and L. A.
Everything was also amazingly expensive, just like at their shops in New York and L. A. They show prices for full cakes on their website. For the individual slices, I paid $8.00 for the signature MC, $8.50 for the green tea MC, and $7.50 for the strawberry shortcake.
I'm happy they're here, and I can get them whenever I want, without having to go to the coast to do so.
