I just made my first poutine américaine using Bucky Badger white cheddar cheese curds, purchased at Woodman's grocery behemoth in Kenosha. I definitely want to make the stuff again. Where can I buy WI cheese curds in Chicagoland without having to trek to Woodman's in Carpentersville or Kenosha?

I have found WI cheese curds at of all places our local Meijer in Bolingbrook.
I have a nasty little habit of eating about 2 pounds at a time so I don't visit very often.

Evan, not sure where you're coming from, but the Cheese People at the Oak Park Farmer's Market usually have fresh curds, which got to be the best kind.

I just saw some curds for sell at the farmers market downtown at Dearborn and Adams. I think it cost about 4 or 5 dollars for a bag. I saw a few different flavors.

Just got this email from The Cheese Stands Alone and I had to post:

Hey, it finally happened. We've got Cheese Curds. After many requests I located a source for fresh
cheese curds. Jerry drives down from Wisconsin every two weeks with fresh, squeaky cheese curds. I
only picked up 24 pounds the first time around, I'll have to see if there really is a demand for
these. The curds stay squeaky for about a week, after that they're still great for snacking. So
get out your Poutine recipe. What's Poutine? Check out this link:
