Got 5 Gallon Buckets??

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for some food quality 5 gallon buckets to be recycled into sub-irrigated planters. The restaurant that I work at is not meeting my demand. I am a volunteer at Pacific Garden Mission and we need more buckets!! Please if you work in the "industry" and can help, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will come and pick them up!!! Instead of those buckets ending up in the landfill, please donate them to a great cause!! We are as of last Wednesday still looking for about 100 buckets. Have you tried Jewel, Dominicks and other grocery stores? I know they use product from the large buckets there.

a little late to the party. well probably way late, but maybe if someone is still needing them... we used food grade 5 gallon buckets for our rooftop garden last summer.

i didn't want to divulge our source at the time for fear we needed more, but we were able to score "all we could take" of the buckets from Rich's Deli on western (south of Augusta). they were the buckets that their bulk sauerkraut came in, so they needed a good hosing down in the alley first. they told us to come back for more if we needed. i'd imagine other similar polish deli type stores might have them too. drilled a hole in the bottom and they worked remarkably well. they were solid white, too, so it had a kind of modern look to it when they were in rows

FWIW, Evanston's Chicken Shack sells discard food-grade buckets for $1: apparently their BBQ sauce comes in them. There are quite a few available right now, but I'm guessing, while they probably keep a steady pace, they probably also don't run through them too quickly.
