    Faith & Whiskey To Host First Annual Whiskey Week
    Hosted whiskey receptions, one-year anniversary party, brand new “Country Sundays” launch party from Wednesday, March 17 thru Sunday, March 21

    CHICAGO (March 5, 2010) – Faith & Whiskey (1365 W Fullerton Ave), the premier whiskey bar and party spot in Lincoln Park, will host its first annual Whiskey Week from Wednesday, March 17 through Sunday, March 21.

    Whiskey Week – going up against the first week of March Madness –will feature a different hosted cocktail reception or whiskey tasting/informational session each day, Faith & Whiskey’s one-year anniversary party, and the launch of Faith & Whiskey’s brand new “Country Sundays”.

    A full breakdown of each day/night of Whiskey Week is below:

    Wednesday, March 17
    Celebrate the kickoff of Whiskey Week on St. Patrick’s Day with a Jameson Irish Whiskey hosted cocktail reception from 8pm-9pm featuring the Jameson girls. Other drink specials include $6 40s (Colt 45, Miller Lite, Miller High Life) and $3 well drinks.Traditional Irish music and Irish rock music will play all night long.

    Thursday, March 18
    Whiskey Week continues with a Jack Daniels hosted reception from 9pm-11pm.Other drink specials include $1 domestic beer bottles and $4 Jack Daniels drinks/shots. Live band karaoke will start at 10pm.

    Friday, March 19
    Celebrate Faith & Whiskey’s First Anniversary Party with a Jack Daniels tasting and informational session hosted by Nick Aguirre who is the market brand manager of Brown-Forman from 7pm-8pm. Jack Daniels Old No. 7, Gentleman Jack, and Jack Daniels Single Barrel whiskies will be paired with chocolate, caramel, toasted almond shavings, and dried apricots during the Jack Daniels hosted tasting.

    Other happenings during Faith & Whiskey’s First Anniversary Party include:
    * Free pizza from 5pm-8pm
    * Video Power Hour from 8pm-9pm hosted by DJ Texas Street Jesus featuring sixty different sixty second clips from movies and TV shows
    * DJ Texas Street Jesus spins rock, pop, and hip hop starting 10pm until 2am

    Saturday, March 20
    Billy Skeely from Maker's Mark will host an informational session and Maker's Mark hosted tasting from 7pm-8pm.

    Mark Gruber -- the “Whiskey Professor” at Northwestern University and the “Luxury Spirit Specialist” at Southern Wine & Spirits of Illinois – will host an informational session and rare whiskey tasting from 8pm-9pm.

    Saturday night resident DJ Clayton De La Chapelle will spin his innovative mix of rock, hip hop, and pop music from 10pm until 3am.

    Sunday, March 21
    Faith & Whiskey will launch its new weekly event -- “Country Sundays” – on Sunday, March 21 during Whiskey Week and will be Chicago’s only live country band weekly event. Grimm Taylor (http://www.grimmtaylor.com/) will be the first in a rotating cast of live country bands that will take the stage starting at 9pm every Sunday. Every “Country Sundays” will also feature beer pong from 5pm-8:30pm.

    To kick off Country Sundays during Whiskey Week, there will be a Southern Comfort hosted cocktail reception from 7pm-9pm on Sunday, March 21.

    Drink specials during every “Country Sundays” at Faith & Whiskey include:
    * $3 PBR 16oz tallboy cans
    * $4 Southern Comfort
    * $7 48oz Old Style pitchers
    * Faith & Whiskey's infamous tableside keg service. Bring in a minimum of four people -- and for $20 a person -- Faith & Whiskey will roll ¼ barrel domestic kegs via dolly up to your group's reserved table. The pony kegs come iced down in 3-foot tall silver aluminum trashcans stenciled in black spray paint reading "Faith & Whiskey" and are served with plastic Solo cups. Faith & Whiskey waitresses will pour each table one pitcher at a time to monitor consumption, and patrons cannot serve themselves.
