Charities that pick up bread/baked good donations?

Hello lth, and forgive me if this has been brought up before.

We have just opened our Patisserie and Cafe in Chicago, and I am looking for a shelter/soup kitchen etc. that will pick up our one day baked goods and breads at night. I hate throwing it all away.

What neighborhood are you in?

While I'm sure it would be preferable for pastries to go to the hungry, keep in mind that local PTAs/PTOs often use donated pastry for meetings, etc. If you put the offer out there to enough schools (I'd offer the caveat that the pastries can't be resold) you might find a home for most of them.

We are in the loop. PTA's etc. is a good idea, and I'd be happy to have anyone take them, but I'd like something that could happen on a daily, or at least biweekly basis. Thanks for your tips.
