D’ARCY’S PINT — a Springfield pub known for its horseshoes, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, pizzas, domestic beers and specialty ales and drinks — is starting a franchise program. Owners Hallie Pierceall and Glenn Merriman said they will license use of the D’Arcy’s Pint brand and propriety recipes to qualified entrepreneurs.
“ We will provide a comprehensive package of pre- opening and marketing support, including site selection, design, signage, on- site training, an annual marketing plan and promotional materials to give our franchisees the best opportunity to succeed,” Merriman stated in a news release.

Pierceall and Merriman opened the first D’Arcy’s in 1998. In 2005, D’Arcy’s moved to its current location at 661 W. Stanford Ave.
