    Posters;

    The Beat Cop's Guide to Chicago Eats, by Sgt. David Haynes, and myself, will be featured on 190 North's March 4th broadcast. We were interviewed by Mark Nilsson at three of the restaurants listed in our book: Ken Tone's Drive-In, Frank & Mary's, and Ricobene's (on 26th).

    They had fun with the shoot, I almost crashed my car, and we ate ourselves into a food coma after the camera man, who is evil and twisted, kept making us retake. Let me tell you, there's no spit bucket for T.V. food. You just have to keep eating.

    So please, watch the show, post comments.

    Thanks, Fresser;

    Our book is a follow-up to Street and Sans Man's. The publisher wanted to do a new one and tapped us for it. It has been a blast.

    Bull: Out of propriety and the fact that we have not yet met, I will refrain from asking if you've reviewed any donut shops. :D

    Might you know the CPD detective who appeared on "Check, Please!" a few months ago? He reviewed La Pasadita at Division & Milwaukee http://www.pasadita.com/ a few months ago.

    No idea who that was. Dave would know. The donut question is addressed in Dave's introduction in the book. We actually bring donuts to a lot of our readings. We included a list of the best independent donut shops in the book. Most of them stick to our indy/local/cheap premise but one of them is a Dunkin we included only because it is owned and operated by former cops.
