D’ARCY’S PINT a franchise

D’ARCY’S PINT — a Springfield pub known for its horseshoes, corned beef and cabbage, shep­herd’s pie, pizzas, domes­tic beers and specialty ales and drinks — is starting a franchise pro­gram. Owners Hallie Pierceall and Glenn Mer­riman said they will li­cense use of the D’Arcy’s Pint brand and propriety recipes to qualified en­trepreneurs.

“ We will provide a comprehensive package of pre- opening and mar­keting support, including site selection, design, sig­nage, on- site training, an annual marketing plan and promotional materi­als to give our franchisees the best opportunity to succeed,” Merriman stat­ed in a news release.

Pierceall and Merri­man opened the first D’Arcy’s in 1998. In 2005, D’Arcy’s moved to its current location at 661 W. Stanford Ave.
