Robert Adams, Sr. on "Chicago Tonight," 4/19/07

Dear LTH:

Hope you caught Robert Adams' appearance with Phil Ponce on Chicago Tonight, making a pulled pork sandwich and laughing (more a royally contemptuous snort) at "boiled meat" barbecue. The piece also recycled bits of the Check Please episode (thankfully consisting of blips of eatchicago and his bride tucking into some tips, and not the Phoenix-style Barbecue Lady).

If you missed it, and if you have Comcast digital cable, then you should check it out "On Demand." Great bit of television.

(And now, from the sublime to the ridiculous, WTTW is showing "CEO Exchange" with Clarence Otis, Jr., the CEO of Darden Restaurants -- of Red Lobster and Olive Garden fame. I'll take Robert Adams, Sr., Chairman and CEO of Honey 1 Barbecue any day).

For those of you going the "On Demand" route (thanks JiLS, I too often forget about that option) this segment airs at the :50 mark.

I know what I'm having for lunch today!
