Do you know a lot about sushi? Do you perhaps speak a bit of food-related Japanese? Would you like to attend a Mensa meeting free of charge?

The program planner for the Chicago-area Mensa group has asked me to find someone who knows a lot about sushi to narrate a demonstration by a chef with, apparently, either minimial English or no interest in speaking -- the planner didn't say, just that the chef couldn't do the spoken part of the program, just prepare the sushi.

So, you'd get to eat sushi, hang out with Mensans for the after-program party, or just sequester yourself in the games room (hundreds of games, lots of avid players).

The date is Saturday, June 30. The location is the Sheraton Chicago Northwest in Arlington Heights (near the Arlington Park Racetrack, just off route 53 on Euclid).

Of course, I need to hear pretty soon, at least if you'd like to see your name in the printed newsletter (the June newsletter goes to the editor on May 1). If you're not worried about being in print, you have a little more time.

    Thanks.

    HI,

I take it the two people I recommended couldn't help?

    Regards,

Well, we had CrazyC on board until today, when she let me know that her new job (which starts next week) may have her on the road on the date in question. And being out of town is good excuse for just about anything.

I thought that a post here might be faster than trying to PM the other person you recommended, not knowing when I might get a response, and then having to post here anyway.
