I thought I recalled a discussion on the AeroGarden here, but the search function turned up nada.

Does anyone have this gizmo? How are the herbs & vegetables you've grown tastewise?

Is this a worthwhile investment at $150 per?

    HI,

There is a lovely website with many forums related to domestic life: gardenweb.com ... they are to domestic life and gardening what we are to food and restaurants.

A friend had one of these years ago. It had a pretty small capacity as I recall. Of course, they might make a larger model than the one he had.

    If I may pimp myself:

The capacity is not as small as you think...i've made four decent batches of pesto with the basil alone in the last three months...[/url]

    Michael,

That sounds like the perfect thing to get me through the winter with fresh herbs. My friend tried to grow tomatoes in his and found it to be too small for the task. Have you tried anything like that yet?

I have not tried tomatoes yet....only herbs, but most of the herbs lasted five months, with most of them done now, but the basil is still going strong at six months....for the basil alone, I'd do it...seedpacks are like 23, I've grown at least 60 bucks worth of regular grocery clamshell amounts of basil alone over the time I've had it...you can also get the custom seeding kit and use your own seeds, which might help with yield....
