I met a most interesting woman tonight at a Preservation Chicago benefit (thanks for the invite, Leesh!). Her name is Shuli Eshel, and she just did a video documentary entitled "Maxwell Street: A Living Memory, The Jewish Experience in Chicago."
This documentary will be screened this Sunday, December 12, from 3-4:30 at the Chicago Historical Society. $5 admission. There will also be some readings by Roger Schatz, the author of
Jewish Maxwell Street Stories.
