Besides appearing as a Bond Girl in "On her Majesty's Secret Service", she also appeared in two of the Pink Panther movies, and went on to fame as 1/2 of the duo on "Absolutely Fabulous"

P.S. She was Steed's partner, Purdy in "The New Avengers".

I did...right after I sent my reply. I guess I was just so excited about getting to type Pussy Galore, that I didn't bother to reat the entire thread first.

But let's not lose perspective that Mr. Steed's 2nd partner was also a woman of both beauty and presence but that the early Avengers cinematography and costuming (no leather jumpsuits or zippered sweaters) didn't accord Honor Blackmon the same venue.

    Kman:

It was my understanding that Diana Rigg was the second of Mr. Mcnee's partners in the series: 1) Cathy Gale; 2) Ms. Rigg; 3) Tara King. Was there someone before Ms. Gale???

I thought Tara King not wholly bereft of her own charms and talents but she suffered from the insuperable short-coming of simply not being Diana Rigg. Such was, I suspect, the position of many of us who grew up in the days of the British Invasion...

Diana Rigg played the second female partner (Honor Blackmon being the first). There were actually 2 male partners prior to Ms. Rigg but I've only ever seen one of them - Jon Rollason as Dr. Martin King. So really, Ms. Rigg was the 4th partner.

I remember seeing the Avengers in syndication. They only showed Diana Rigg
episodes IIRC.I had no idea until much later there were other partners.Something sexy about Mr. Steed.I do remember The New Avengers.

The New Avengers was only for people who think the 70s were an improvement on the 60s, and the young Joanna Lumley (before she became a drag queen on Ab Fab) is for people who think the only thing wrong with Honor Blackman or Diana Rigg is that they weren't Julie Andrews.

An example of how not to handle your complaint:

HOUSTON (AP) - Road rage? Try restaurant rage. A 34-year-old man apparently angry that his $6 steak and cheese sandwich was too cold was arrested on a charge of threatening to kill the restaurant manager Wednesday.

Police said the manager offered to reheat Devlin B. Nelson's sandwich or make him a new one when he complained. Authorities allege he instead demanded a refund, threw the sandwich at the manager, then threatened to kill her and blow up the restaurant.

I was pissed but not that pissed!

Thanks for everyone's responses. I did write a letter. When I called the corporate offices, the receptionist had me fax it to the president. She said they like all of their complaints to go there...guess they get a lot of 'em! We'll see when and if they respond!

Good service, bad customer. We ate at Old Country Buffet today. Not my choice.A customer dropped a piece of chicken on the floor.Instead of putting it to the side,he threw it in with the rest of the chicken.I approached the cashier ,told her what happened, she told the manager and they removed the entire bin.
