I wandered around Michael's Fresh Market <http://www.michaelsfreshmarket.com/> this evening as I tried to come up with this culinary mental image. Blue is the most difficult color to naturally replicate on the plate, but blueberries are in season and gorgonzola or blue potatoes just don't cut it.

    *P.S. I'm not a food stylist (obviously)
*P.P.S. I plan on deep frying the peppers according to Emeril's Fried Bell Pepper Rings http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/fried-bell-pepper-rings-recipe/index.html & maybe some onions in a tempura batter tonight for the opening ceremonies. Double yum!

You're kidding, right? That's really, really beautiful!

Sadly, other than bad translations of Chinese food, it hasn't quite registered in our brains yet...we're going to have to fix that!

We stopped by LTH on the way off of work tonight and took take out home and ate while watching the opening ceremony. By the amount of people in there picking up orders tonight I think some other people had the same idea.
One Mint Julep was the cause of it all.
