Hi,
I happen to own a Northland all-refrigerator, which has 25 cubic feet of storage space.
The first time I saw one, it was with a stainless steel interior and exterior with a lofty pricetag to match. I later learned you could have a white aluminum interior and the stainless steel exterior, which brings down the price quite a bit.
The only problem I have had with this refrigerator either I caused to happen or I noticed it after I did a something not too smart. Last summer I made some stock, which was finished around midnight. I wanted to go to bed and didn't have the patience to cool it down nor was I willing to set the alarm to come back in hour. Instead I stuck a rather hot stock pot into the refrigerator. It obviously ran continuously for sometime, which seemed to trigger a problem with the frost-defrost cycle of the condensor.
When I contacted Northland, they sent a new compressor assembly and paid the labor. Their refrigeration-compressor is one unit, which can be disconnected and pulled off. They had no interest in taking this unit back, so I kept it for spare parts in the future.
Prior to this I had a Sub-Zero all refrigerator for over 25 years. I never had any significant problems with my Sub-Zero, it died of old age. I do like the Northland's compressor on top instead of the bottom. I do like the extra 4-5 square feet of extra storage, because of the Northland's design. I also like their door shelves are made of metal instead of Sub-Zero's plastic, which did crack over time.
If you are seeking more information, then please ask!
Regards,
