Hello all! I was turned on to this forum by a poster (ChiNola) who also posts on the board I moderate, FoodFest! Great. Now I have ANOTHER distraction at work! In any event, I LOVE Chicago, have visited many times (actually lived in Indianapolis for a spell, so that was easy), and have some of my best friends in the world up there.

In any event, I'm really wanting to move up there. Does anyone have any recommendations as to some proper ways to land a job? I.E., the Reader's website, Craigslist, etc. I do graphic/web design, and it appears that opportunities for that line of work are ample in Chicago, whereas New Orleans is quite desolate.

I look forward to reading and contributing to LTH Forum in the future!

    Welcome, Sal!

A couple of good sites with Tech job listings are Dice and Techies.

    Good Luck!
I exist in Chicago, but I live in New Orleans.

    Welcome Sal,

Another place you could try is registering at www.jobs.volt.com

I know, some might call Volt a "Temp" agency, but most of our Tech positions are either long term contractors or direct hire opportunities. I don't know of any specifically since I work in the Admin/Industrial division, but it's worth a shot for you. By registering, and submitting your resume your information would be shared with all Volt offices nationwide.

Hey y'all. I checked those sites last night, and they all definitely look promising. Thanks again.
