I rarely use this forum to pimp things, but I'm really proud of an essay one of our authors over at Hungry magazine, Barry Strum, wrote about his childhood and growing up with NYC deli. It's the kind of piece that makes me glad that places like lthforum.com and Hungry mag exist, the places we can still publish the kind of long form food writing that was once a staple. I think this crowd will enjoy it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It evokes more than just food memories, drawing in memories of youth and community, as well.

    Lovely, bittersweet piece. Thanks.
