The Chicago restaurant scene is filled with plenty of eye candy as sweet as the desserts on their plates. Whether they're the executive chef, the ever-present owner, the right hand sous chef, the "celebrity" chef partner, or one of the many aesthetically pleasing front-of-house staffers gracing the dining scene around town.

My pick for the city's most attractive restaurateurs is Brad Rubin from Eleven City Diner. He's the proud, PROUD owner of the Jewish diner/deli in the south loop. His glowing face matches his explosive personality and his in-your-face hospitality.
For me, the food has gotten consistently good, despite the occasional misstep on the plate. So Mr. Rubin's constant presence only serves to make my appearances all the more worth it.

Chef/Owner Carlos Gaytan of Mexique. Personal chef colleagues of mine have nicknamed him Chef Gorgeous. Not only is he a very good-looking gentleman, but a wonderfully creative chef and an all-around sweet, humble human being.

Mexique is my favorite place for creative Mexican food.
