I've been listening to two food-related podcasts over the past month or so. EatFeed is an enjoyable, sometimes academic discussion on food topics, and KCRW's Good Food, a breezy, entertaining, if at times west coast-centric show.

Anybody have other recommendations in this genre?

You have to make it into an MP3 or similar thing yourself, but I often capture, convert and listen to The Splendid Table.

Thanks for the heads up. It looks like at least the Q&A from the Splendid Table are available as a weekly podcast.

I use Audio Hijack Pro to capture Splendid Table, Whaddya Know and Car Talk, every week from the NPR websites.
It records, in the background, and then will automatically upload to iTunes and auto update your iPod if its available.

Mike Nagrant's Hungry Magazine/Chefs on the Grill interviews with chefs, which he's recently added to, is an excellent resource. I can't think of a better extended inquiry into the culinary philosophies of Chicago chefs. Chefs are very busy people, and it's remarkable to me that Nagrant can get them to sit down for 50+ minutes to chat. His questions are very well-researched, and I think chefs see that immediately.

If you go to Chicago Amplified's Archives, you will find a drop down menu. Find Culinary Historians, then you will have 36 different podcasts to choose from.

The food-related audio podcasts I update regularly (and listen to on my morning walks with the dog) are The Splendid Table and NPR's Food Podcast.

Is EatFeed still active? I used to listen to it, but it seems from the website and from iTunes that it hasn't been updated for a long time.

I don't do many video podcasts because they require paying attention to the computer screen and I am easily distracted by other things, but I've watched all of the Sky Full of Bacon podcasts, and am going through the Grace Before Meals podcasts with Father Leo. I caught just the tail end of Bobby Flay - Father Leo throwdown when it was on tv a month or so ago, and am planning to catch it when it's rebroadcast on Feb 17/18.
