I looked through all the listed foods. The thing that popped out to me was portion size. As Americans we have been "fed" the mentality that we
deserve many things, including super sized meals. Most of the listed foods could easily be portioned off to serve four people. Fat does make food taste good, but does any one person need 20 slices of bacon on their burger? What bothers me is that this brain washing of, bigger is better, starts early. Did you know a chicken nugget Happy Meal in France contains two chicken nuggets, while the US version contains four? I had a nice chat with Jim's mom at his recent pig roast. I asked her how Jim could prepare and eat so much, and still stay at a healthy weight. She gave your secret away Jim! She said Jim thinks about food, prepares it, puts quite a bit of it on his plate, and then eats only about half of it. Food for thought!
