Hoping the LTH universe can help me source a venue for a charity event on behalf of Trio Animal Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization for which I'm a volunteer.

TAF works with shelters to improve conditions for their animals through grooming events, coordinating and funding veterinary care, improving the physical conditions of the facilities and, most importantly, connecting shelters with rescue, foster and adoption resources. To further these efforts, we are planning a fundraising event for what we hope will be 200-250 people, featuring a live band, silent auction, and, of course, terrific food. At this stage, we are in need of an appropriate venue for low/no cost.

The organization is well-connected--Steve Dale (of Steve Dale's Pet World on syndicated radio and columnist for USA Weekend and Tribune Media) has agreed to emcee the event and we have a number of celebrity sponsors. We expect the event to be well-publicized and hope that this might encourage an enterprising restaurant, club and/or event space owner to participate. If anyone out there is an animal lover and has connections to such a place or an individual/organization who might be willing, I would very much appreciate the referral. We are focused on holding the event in the city (as opposed to a suburban location) but are pretty flexible otherwise.

Feel free to PM me with suggestions or questions. Hope it's ok to appeal to our community for this :D

    thanks!!

    Jen

Thanks for the suggestion--rates look very reasonable and I know the venue is beautiful--could be an interesting option. If anyone has other ideas, please send 'em my way :D

    thanks!
