Boogie's raises the question, why on Earth would anyone in Texas think Chicago style BBQ would be a big draw?

Not that there's anything wrong with our 'Que (when it's done right), but it seems like a "coals to Newcastle" situation.

They probably say the same about Chicago eating NY style pizza and vice versa. Some people simply don't like what's cookin' in their city. Myself, I'd agree with you whole heartedly.

There was a Chicago-style BBQ joint here in Phoenix called A & J Chicago Style Bar-B-Q. Aquarium smoker and all. But they closed earlier this year. No great loss based on the tips and links I had there, though I suspect those didn't get much turnover.

I'll have to give Tom's a try the next time I'm feeling homesick. So, y'know... any minute now.

Hopefully you fill that homesickness with Rosati's and Pizzeria Bianco. (sure Bianco isn't Chicago, but ya can't go wrong with the sausage pizza)
