Hi there. I'm a first time poster here so bear with me as I navigate these unfamiliar waters!
I'm beginning to explore career possibilities in the sustainable food sector. I know that's incredibly broad and that I've got a lot of research to do in order to narrow down a focus. But sustainable agriculture, farm to school programs, and anything relating to the relationship between local farmers and restaurants (and other businesses/ organizations that purchase from farms) is what I'm interested in. I don't have a culinary background - I've worked FOH in restaurants, bars and bakeries, but that's the extent of my experience. I'm just someone who loves cooking, the land, and nutritious, accessible ingredients and wants to do something with it to improve the well-being of those in our communities.
I'm here to solicit suggestions for websites, publications, books, blogs, etc. that might serve as informational resources about careers in this field. I'm so green at this point, I'm not even sure of all of the options / non-conventional jobs out there.
Every little bit helps - thanks in advance
