    That was quite something.
    On a somewhat similar note, I just finished the memoir "Stuffed." Also powerful and complicated, perhaps a bit less food-centric than it first appears, still very worth reading.

    I recently read Toast by Nigel Slater; it was also a memoir regarding food and was fantastic.
