OK- now that everybody's schlepping an iPad or an iPhone around with 'em
(or Apple's stock price/market valuation is in need of a MAJOR correction! )
What's the preferred food-centric Apps that people have discovered and can't live without?

(now- I'm not sayin' an lthforum App wouldn't be just the thing!- with GPS enabled> and ways to show GNR favorites based on where
    you are right now......but...)
For example :: Mark Bittman has a food related app called "How to Cook Everything" I've downloaded and havent explored too much
    just yet.
    Then there's Epicurious.
    and a lot more.
    Food-centric readers of lthforum land....?

How about the LTH GNR app (GPS Enabled) http://lthgnrguide.appspot.com

Or the LTH GNR Google Map (Now updated with the new Spring 2011 GNRs) http://tinyurl.com/GNR-Map

edited to correct the GNR Map URL

    Steve-
those suggestions that you linked to are NOT available
    through the iTunes App store-
    "Search had no results"

nothing was found searching "lth" or "GNR"...

Thanks for these links. I didn't know about them and they are excellent. (Hombre - use your phone's browser. These aren't apps.)

The online GNR Map has a new URL. It is now http://tinyurl.com/GNR-Map. I've edited my original post to reflect this, but in case anyone has the old URL memorized somewhere, use this new one instead. The new link includes all of the new 2011 GNR's as well as updated addresses for some places that have moved, thanks to the efforts of Turkob.

There is a new App for the IPhone which i down loaded yesterday, Curbside Cusine. The App lists 8 trucks in the Chicago area. I plan on being in Chicago tomorrow and trying to use the App to find lunch. Has anyone had success with this App or have any recommendations for good Food Trucks?
These Trucks seem to be increasing in popularity with low fixed costs being one advantage i would think.-Dick

Haven't tried that app, but I've tried 3 food trucks (Meatyballs Mobile, Gaztrowagon, and Southern Mac). Of the 3, Meatyballs was definitely my favorite. Gaztrowagon is good in theory, but the couple of sandwiches I've had from them have been a bit on the bland side. Southern Mac is Mac n' Cheese from The Southern restaurant. It was good, but not something I'd necessarily go out of my way for.

So each of these food trucks have Apps that can be downloaded/installed? I searched and didn't find them but then maybe because I'm looking on Android Market and these are exclusively for iOS? Color me confused.

There is one App titled 'Curbside Cuisine' and is available for the iPhone.
Whether it's available for anything else I don't know.
The trucks are listed within the App.-Dick
