The APPROPRIATE Time to go the Honey 1

Evil Ronnie and I have gone at various times and this past Friday we went around, but earlier than, true dinner hour. (around 445) Robert, Jr. told us his dad leaves in the afternoon now. There was nothing in the smoker and after we placed our order and sat down, I said to Ron, "this is not a good sign" Sure enough we got our tips/links combo and they were ok but on the dry side.

M question is this: when should one go to receive perfectly juicy BBQ? We have gone at different times and been sorely disappointed. Or is it hit and miss?

During the week, at least, I believe they do their smoking in the morning. I drive by there at around 7:30am and the smoker is always in use. When I drive by later at around 4:00 pm there is nothing going on. So, I would think lunch during the week would be best, and I can attest that I've always been pleased. Not sure on weekends. Closed Mondays, by the way.
