There is a show so "out there" on The Cooking Channel that I think everyone should have a look..it's called Bitchin' Kitchen, is on at 9:30 PM on The Cooking Channel on Wednesdays (with a repeat on Saturday at 10 PM).

It is hosted by Nadia G., who either is a cook or a comedian or a little of both. Her show makes Evil Ronnie and I laugh.(and in the climate of the world right now, this is a good thing). She seems to know how to handle a knife and there is always a "theme". The kitchen is always the same color as her nails, outfit and shoes. She has a couple of "experts" who speak on different food products.

It is worth a good look just for the entertainment of it..and she is adorable. This is just plain fun.

C'mon, someone on LTH is watching this "amuse".

I've seen it a couple times. The food looks like a notch above the usual Stand And Stir shows, in creativity and even presentation.
But the Jersey Shore attitude is a bit too much.

Nadia G's over the top "Jersey attitude" is precisely why I look forward to every episode. We're still suffering from "Sopranos" withdrawal, and watching Nadia is almost like seeing one of Adriana La Cerva's girlfriends.

I find her "Shiksa's Passover Special" very entertaining--- She uses Alaskan Halibut for her gefilte fish

I like this. I love her accent. I am bored by most of the mundane food shows on TV. This spices things up a little but we shall see how long it will last. I still mourn the loss of the two fat lady shows. I loved them. Real eccentrics they were interesting to watch and provided something unique. I finally bought tapes of their show as I liked them so much.

PS I went to high school with a lot of Italians and we had a word "skeevy" it means disgusting, gross. I wonder if this is the same word as schkeef, or schkeevy. She puts a kind of c in it but back in the day we didn't.

I watched two episodes and couldn't get into it. Then I read this quote. Now, I'm going back in, coach.

Jersey and Canada? The adjective"bitichin'" is so '70s California, it makes one wonder how the show came by the title. Any chance this is a few years old? Or has the word simply migrated since its "surf's up" days?

This show bothers me to the core. I'm not one to complain about anything, but I nearly wanted to start a topic about how much I don't like it in an effort to keep other from watching it. I'm glad there are some that don't mind the show. :P
    GOOD TIMES!

There is no telling what people will watch on TV. I don't necessarily watch it to find out how to cook as most of the stuff is elementall she provides. Sometimes there is nothing else worth while on and I don't want to channel surf and hear the political pundits and just need some thing entertaining and mindless. Its good to hear the fat ladies are on. ONe has passed so these would be re runs but worth it.

Got a chance to watch Bitchin' Kitchen over the holidays...I'm now recording the series. It is just funny. I love the sort of dead baby doll up on the shelf. My son laughed out loud during her break up meal episode, when she was defining a "gamer". Actually, she has prepared a couple of dishes I'd like to try. I'm putting this right next to my other cooking series that I record...Two Fat Ladies. It's just fun!

I find it entertaining. But actually she does cook some good things and she uses good ingredients. I really wanted to sink my teeth into the hot pepper flavored lime cheesecake with the chocolate crust. She seems to have some cooking skills and knife skills and can explain things. She does not use faux ingredients. I still don't know what sakata ! means though.

I watched this show expecting to hate it and guess what? I did NOT hate it, in fact I enjoyed it and here's why: it reminds me of Pee-Wee's Playhouse. I think the show should actually push further in that direction - with the trippy set designs and wacky secondary characters (and good comedy writing). But keep the really good food.

I think it's it's a breath of fresh air amid the stale "stand and stir with a cute girl/guy and some labored angle" jive.
