    Hello folks, resident idiot here {[(likes Jimmy Johns, hates Als Beef, likes Riccobenes) yet is thick skinned with a very good sense of humor who understands the circus part of the whole bread and circus thing] and quite content to march un-lemming like to my own beat}

    Whew

    So, in the morning me and Mr Delk are jetting to Budapest for a quick 4 day trip. Barry AKA Mr Delk is giving a speech and while I'm looking forward to the food (we get there about 5-6 times a year) I'm really looking forward to the baths. It really is a cultural thing and unless you have experienced it, you can't imagine the hedonistic joy of a good soak.

    So, it kind of made me think. I realize that you guys (and gals!) who post and read on this site are amazingly passionate about your food. And that made me wonder: what is the wackiest thing you did in regards to eating?

    Here are some goofy things that food has driven me to do:
    Once on vacation in Atlanta, I had a taste for gumbo so I rented a car and drove to New Orleans.

    In one day, I had breakfast in Quebec City, lunch in Montreal, and dinner in Toronto.

    Last month, Mr Delk wanted sushi...we flew to Tokyo, ate, slept, ate and flew home.

    We've both been craving German food so we'll probably hit Berlin before school starts.

    Tell me/tease me with your food adventures....Iceland anybody?

    xxoo Delk

    Mods...please move/delete this to wherever it belongs....

    In honor of my 30th birthday, a small group of friends took a trip to Amsterdam to celebrate. After some mediocre fish and chips at a place recommended by a guide book, I insisted on going to London to get fish and chips at my favorite spot in Richmond. After all, it was my birthday. A quick Easyjet flight later, we were there. Totally worth it. I think we were in London a total of 5 hours.
