    Saveur specializes in publishing cuisines of the world outside the US. That's what they do.

    That's part of what they do, but the Chicago issue, the Comfort Food issue and the recent Los Angeles issue are but three examples of their extensive writing about food in the USA. Of course they write about food from other countries as well, but it seems an oversight to exclude American-based blogs from this list, unless they didn't find any up to their standards, of course.

    They ran an extensive contest earlier this year, which focused on 'domestic' blogs
