As some of you know, I'm a journalism student at Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism.
I'm working on a story for my magazine feature writing class on high-end restaurant regulars, and from what I've read on LTH, I know some of you would be great interviewees. I'm hoping to talk to a large cross-section of high-end diners to explore the motivations behind high-end dining and the relationship between restaurant and customer.
If anyone reading this is interested in participating in my story, could you please reply (either as a post or by PM) with your answers to these four questions:
1) How would you define fine dining?
1) What are some of your favorite fine dining restaurants?
2) How often do you dine out at fine dining restaurants?
3) Would you consider yourself a regular at any fine dining restaurants? If so, how often do you dine at that restaurant(s)?
If you're a good fit for my story, I would hope to set up a time to meet with you in person to talk about some of your dining experiences. However, if it's too difficult to arrange an in-person meeting, a Skype or telephone interview will suffice as well.
While this piece is for class, depending on how it turns out, I may try to pitch it for publication. I ask that all my sources be willing to be identified by their full names in my story.
