As keeper of the LTH Aristocratic Torch, do you want to put this together?
Most certainly, although I'll need some input on appropriately Aristocratic food choices near Piper's Alley (where it is playing). Also, a confession -- Mrs. JiLS and I couldn't wait, and hit the matinee today. The Aristocrats is all you could possibly hope ... or fear ... Best versions: magician who does the bit with cards; a street mime version; and Bob Saget (no, the Olson Twins are
not involved). My only complaint is that they didn't just let the camera roll on most of the performances, even the centerpiece presentations like Gilbert Godfrey's legendary performance at the 2001 Friar's Club Roast. Perhaps the Platinum Collector's Edition DVD, when it is released, will solve this minor quibble.
Anyway, regarding the food, I'd like a place with the following Aristocratic features:
1. Dirty Martinis
2. "Family Style" service
3. Pets welcome
4. Cigar smoking allowed
6. Service that bends over backwards
Maybe Father and Son on North Ave.?
Let's aim for next Friday, August 19. I have a chiropractor's appointment the next morning, so this would be ideal for me.
