Just a heads-up that Jeffrey Steingarten's column in the current issue of Vogue covers his recent trips to Chicago, dining at both Taste of Chicago and a number of high-end restaurants, though apparently nothing in between. Mostly, I'm mystified that he mentions a dinner at Moto right up front (well, halfway down the second page, but with Steingarten's rambling, that's still part of the introduction) when he lists the spots he hit, and then says not another word about it, even in the list of restaurants he doesn't have room to talk about near the end. Cantu's even instantly noticeable in the rather odd picture of chefs gathered in the Chicago Symphony Center.
(If you have trouble finding the column -- the table of contents is still going strong once you're 100 pages into the issue -- it starts on page 604.)
