Hi- This couple went to a Taco Bell in a Grand Rapids suburb, and pulled up to the drive up and ordered their food. They did not open their bag of food until they were several miles down the road, and instead of food, they found a huge wad of money. $3,600 to be exact. They thought about keeping it for a second, and then they realized that the person who gave them the bag full of money could lose her job over this, and they turned around and went back to the restaurant. The employee was overjoyed when they handed her the money. Here is the link.

It is nice to know there are still some honest people around.

That's what happens when the franchisee is too cheap to use an armored car service. The managers have to take the cash receipts to the bank, exposing them to robbery.

They were lucky to get the money back.

If I had gotten that bag o' money, I would have seen it as a message from God that I need to buy a real smoker and quit eating things with hyphens in their names.

Can anyone explain why that money could even come in contact with a drive thru "to go" bag? That is insanity.

Hi- I assume that somebody was cleaning out the register, and stuck the money in a taco bell bag, instead of a bank deposit bag, and the person manning the drive up window picked up the wrong bag. They just do not have a good system worked out it sounds like.

But why would they have a bag full of money within easy reach of a drive-up window worker bee? Now there's a question that I'd be asking the shift manager if I were the owner of such an establishment.

The number of stories I've heard of drugs being sold out of drive-through windows around here late at night made this story no surprise to me. Not saying that's what was going on in this case, just that it's been going on around here, I hear.

I guess I'll get the Chalupa next time.
