A friend is doing research on food rationing:

I am wondering if anyone here can address a few questions about food rationing during WWII? Particularly in France, Britain, and the US. I would also like to include some aspects of food rationing in Germany. If you have references, personal experience, or reminisces of your parents, please contact me at cdbertel@gmail.com.

Rationing in the UK went on for fourteen years concluding in 1954.

    Regards,

The BBC television series The Supersizers (mentioned in another thread) did an episode in which they ate as an English family would have during rationing. They episodes are available on Youtube.
