Post #1 - March 11th, 2017, 8:14 amLast summer, when two women were looking for a restaurant space in this Northern Virginia town of 48,000, one of the options held multiple enticements: It was affordable, it had a good location, the kitchen was fit for Asian cooking and it was in a gas station.

No need for further speculation about the prime rib sold at the ABC gas station in Kihei, HI. After being obsessed for years by the sign, I finally decided to stop in and try it. And while it did not ascend to the level of Oklahoma Joe's BBQ, it is completely respectable . . .
This is the sign I've driven by countless times . . . which I began to obsess over

Priced nicely for Maui
At 3 pm, they were already putting out a fresh roast. These women told me that by no later than 7 pm, they'd be sold out. And when you live in Maui, you're so happy, it's easy to get excited by just about anything.
Prime Rib (single cut) with garlic mashed potatoes, rice, mixed veggies, horseradish and jus. Tender and delicious!
