Just went to the exhibit. It was neat. You choose from four different lists-taste, smell, feel, and hear. The taste choices were all different flavors of edible paper, which Dan-the artist-learned to make from the Moto executive chef. There were choices like Alphabet, Circus, Hawaii, and Colored Music.
There was also a DVD that shows the chefs at Moto making and plating several different courses in the kitchen. He happened to have an extra one on hand so he gave it to me, which was really cool.
While we were talking, Dan mentioned that he had accompanied Homaro Cantu to New York to film Iron Chef. I've always wondered about that show- how real is it, really? He said they plan what they make ahead of time, and they are told that the secret ingredient could be one of three things. He also said when the Iron Chefs lose they really get upset about it, but that it's kinda fixed in their favor. Oh yeah and he told me who won the battle, but I won't spoil it for you guys.
