Not long ago I heard tell of an interesting recipe that was published by Cook's Illustrated (I believe it was included on the America's Test Kitchen series on PBS in a recent but not the current season). I have registered to use the CI website but, having done so, found out recipes from earlier seasons are not available without subscription. I have also been bombarded with emails and telephone calls from them ever since. I may well subscribe in the future but prefer not to just now.
Be that as it may, I would very much like to see the CI recipe in question not for application in actual cooking but purely for research purposes in the field of culinary history. If there is a Cook's Illustrated subscriber out there who could help me out in this regard, I would be most grateful; please p.m. me and I'll give specifics about what I'd like to take a look at.
TIA.
