For the past couple weeks Michael Ruhlman (author of The Soul of a Chef, among many others) has been guest blogging over at
megnut.com. I haven't mentioned it because, well, I dunno.
But he had a
fantastic rant earlier this week on the ethics of eating, specifically mentioning the Whole Foods lobster situation and the Chicago foie gras ban.
And his old pal Tony Bourdain had an equally fantastic
reply in the comments section.
If you've got a few, take some time to read it and look through the rest of the blog. Ruhlman isn't the most frequent blogger, but his posts are a lot of fun to read. His most recent one about a surprise in a fried oyster is truly painful.
