Domino's delivers to Totonno's

What's the reason for this blasphemy?

Domino’s, which began selling Brooklyn Style pies at its 5,100 United States stores last week, designed the pizza to mimic what most New Yorkers get when they go for a slice....

We purchased our Domino’s pie just a few blocks away from Totonno’s on Neptune Avenue. That it was handed to us over bulletproof glass turned out to be the most authentically Brooklyn part about it.

It's funny because it's true. Is it?

I thought the picture of the two pizzas side by side (in the article) was very telling...

I would call this reverse blasphemy; the exact opposite of what a scientist shoots for when they attempt to be objective while setting up a research project.
I believe the writer did this to proof that high quality pizzas found at such places as Totonno's in Coney Island can't be mass produced by mega-corporations.
The thing that shocks me most about this story, though, is that Ms.Ciminieri didn't reflexively pull out a shotgun and blow this writer's head off just on principle. Ciminieri exudes a strong sense of pride when it comes to the fact that they make great pizza and that their family owns the oldest continuously operated pizzeria in America.

Bringing Domino's into the pizza world's version of a house of worship would be equivalent to inviting Satan himself to the Vatican.
