I kid, I kid Geo.

I was surprised that this thread was born--we ate a lot in Queens, but we did get all of our ideas from bloggers, writers, and posters from all corners of the media, new and old. And even though I said as much in the post, I credited specific sources when I thought it made sense, when someone offered something unique--like the woman who created an annotated map of the Golden Mall.
Our account was far from a comprehensive block-by-block report. If Bourdain were to have seen it, and it was significant enough to irk him, then I think his culinary explorer badge should ripped from his vest. And for the record, if Bourdain called me a lonely nerd, I think it would be awesome.
As far as attribution and ownership of ideas--anything I say here, in a public forum, I think is fair game to anyone who wants to overhear it and write about it. If you want credit and a by-line, pitch your idea to an editor, then you too, can listen to a bunch of people bitch about how you stole their ideas!
Also, what JeffB said.
